One comment on your NPC Modding Guide: First of all, this is AMAZINGLY helpful! I had no idea on how to do half of the things you discussed in the document. I've read through it a lot and I'm really grateful for such an in-depth guide! :D I had one suggestion for something you could add in: the way I make adding NPC icons easier is: 1. I create a character with my NPC's coat, eye color, body shapes, accessories, etc. Then I find my character's birthday on the calendar. 2. I take a screenshot (usually through Windows' Snipping Tool) and try to cut as close to the icon as possible without cutting out any of the pixel outline. 3. I load the screenshot into my drawing app (FireAlpaca), center it as much as I can, and use the pixel brush to cut out all the beige around the icon. With a better drawing app, you might be able to easily erase the beige and simply skip the pixel erasing step. I don't think you can do this as easily if you're not using a PC, but I've found it to be pretty fast to do once you get the hang of it, and I think it would be helpful to add that to your guide if you want! ^^ I will definitely look into this! For the most part I chose the method I did because I found taking screenshots of the game didn't always yield the clearest or right sized images for creating the icon. I didn't try screenshoting the calendar, so worth trying it as cutting out an unnecessary step is always good.
Also happy to see another FireAlpaca user! Been using it for years. I've used other apps like Photoshop and Procreate, and they all have their strengths, but I still prefer FireAlpaca - all of my item and character art were done in that program.
I did try the calendar technique, and while it's pretty good the quality and size of the image seems to vary a lot depending on your GUI settings. Mine is set pretty small so I'm getting a much smaller image. I'll leave the guide as it is now, and might add it as an alternative method later if I can figure out the perfect setting to get the correct size.
Also instead of cutting around the icon with the pixel brush, you can set the Fill tool (that little paint bucket icon) to transparent (there should be a transparent option on your color window) set the fill tolerance to 1, and then just 'fill' all the beige areas with transparency. It worked for me when I was testing your calendar technique. Hopefully it can save you a bit of time. You can also use the Magic Wand tool to select all the beige and then erase it.

A small Arthur update to celebrate the full release of Wildwood Story! Not much to say: I moved Arthur's placement in the Spring Festival, so they're not standing on top of one of the kittens anymore (I still haven't unlocked all the kittens, so if you notice Arthur standing on any other kittens, let me know). I also added dialog for the ending of the main story. Oh, and how could I forget! Events! You can now encounter two events with Arthur in the game. One after they first join your colony (so you may not trigger this one if you're already good friends with them), and another in autumn. I would love to add a few more events in the future - if you have any ideas of what sort of events I should add, let me know!
This mod contains the Arthur npc folder, 1 buildings folder, 1 furniture folder, 1 mail folder, 1 map folder, 1 bundles folder, 1 events folder and 1 tasks folder, plus 1 icon file, 9 portrait files, and English language files *(Note that you’ll need Chaucer's Chandlery installed if you want Arthur’s den to display properly as that file contains all the furniture data. Be sure to replace your old copy of Arthur’s files with this new one.)This mod works with Release v1.01
Use this mod if you do not want to install the Chaucer mod:
This mod contains the Arthur npc folder, 1 buildings folder, 1 furniture folder (with 17 items and their sprites), 1 mail folder, 1 map folder, 1 bundles folder, 1 events folder and 1 tasks folder, plus 1 icon file, 9 portrait files, and English language files This mod works with Release v1.01 As always, let me know if you encounter any problems, or if Arthur steps on anymore kittens! XD And hooray for Wildwood's release!

Oh yes, by the way, Arthur caused an error on startup, but I found the issue:
in the second event meta file: (I don't know if you want me to specifically name the event in case that would seem like a spoiler)
"filter_autumn": true is missing a comma, which is causing the crash.

I could've sworn I tested it before I posted it. Always triple check I suppose! XP
Thanks - I'll fix this right away.
Just editing to add that it should be good now! Thanks again Scooter!

Chaucer's files needed a bit of cleaning up in order to play nice with my Ghost Hunting mod. This version should work with that mod just fine now. (I also fixed the quail typo. XP) This mod contains the Chaucer npc folder (containing the shop file), 1 festivals folder, 1 furniture folder (with 22 items and their sprites), 1 items folder (with 25 items and their sprites), and 1 world_objects folder, plus 1 icon file, 2 portrait files, and English language files. This mod works with Alpha v1.10

Not Silverhart, but you're referring to a Bluejay. They're very rare and I believe they're more common in winter.

Definite props on the writing! Aw! Thank you! I really wanted to add something unique with the stories. I think I got a little carried away with the two I ended up writing, but I'm glad folks like them!
