So about 4 days ago I had an idea for a little mod that would let you hunt cute little ghosts in the Wildwood. I've been speed-modding since then to get it finished in time for Halloween. And here it is! Now codewise, it's a bit messy. Some of my ideas just weren't possible, or were only possible with a bit of convoluted finagling, but with a little creativity and a lot of testing, we got there in the end. From a player standpoint, it should be all good. Some of the costumes still look weird when you sit or take a nap, but hey, it is what it is. When Autumn rolls around in game you may start to notice some ghoulish friends coming out to play! Starting in autumn, you'll be able to find ghosts hidden all over the Wildwood.
Collect the spooky specters and bring them yo your new pal, Edgar. Edgar will tell you all about their fantastical new device that allows you to trade in your spirits for some ghost-inspired items! You can find Edgar in the Festival Plaza every night between 7 and 11, through Autumn 1st through 9th to give you advice and sell you helpful items. In addition to the new furniture and accessories you can craft, I've added a few new objects for decorating your colony - hay bales, cornstalks, leaf piles, gravestones, spiderwebs and banners! These are all unlocked right from the get-go, so you can start getting ready for Halloween any time of year!
This mod was a crazy challenge! I'd love to hear about any ideas people have for improving it - or maybe you'll even want to add onto it yourself! If I had had a bit more time I would've probably done a bit more with it, but for four days I think it's pretty good. Off the top of my head, I think it might be possible to mod in a sort of Trick-or-Treating system, where wearing a certain costume will trigger events that give you candy items - haven't tested it yet, but seems possible given the event filters in the CC document. Maybe next year..? OooOO! And as always if you come across a bug or something breaks, let me know so I can fix it! And have a Happy Halloween!

Minus the crystal recolor, warrior post, greedy paw override, and world prey pile

It seems the game doesn't like it when you have extra copies of maps files when they're named the same (makes sense). Chaucer's mod didn't have changes to the map file, so I just removed it, and it didn't seem to break anything, so it should be good. A good thing to keep in mind for future mods that modify game map files though - you might need to remove that mod to get another to work.
I updated Chaucer's file, which you can download right here!
Both mods should work together just fine now. I did a quick test and both loaded in and worked, but if you have any other problems with either of them, let me know!
(Also, thank you getting me to finally put all those mods in my game, because I had forgotten to do that, and now I have a bunch of fun new mods to play with. Yay!)

It seems the game doesn't like it when you have extra copies of maps files when they're named the same (makes sense). Edgar's personality and appearance are great as well. Here's how I did: Also, it's probably worth mentioning that I encountered a problem with the day 9 event. I got the dialogue but I saw nothing new in the shop (if it matters, I had purchased 1 of the items in there, so there was only 1 shop page) and left the tile without the item. I was only running two other mods, one that replaces some dialogue (from another cat) and one that does some furniture retextures, so I figure they weren't in conflict with this mod.

Hmm, I'll have to double check Day 9 of the mod. It was giving me trouble while testing, so I'm guessing the trouble is there. I thought I had it all figured out before posting it, but evidently not! I'll have to do a bit more testing. Everything should be there, it's just not unlocking for some reason.

Lovin this, are you plannin an easter 1? its like a Halloween easter hunt I'm not planning to do an Easter one, no. I did consider doing a Winter themed one, but just didn't have the time. If others want to take the hunt idea and reskin it into an Easter Hunt though, I say go for it!
