I just started playing today and I went with Mystic, but I'm now already wanting to make a new game and start at Forest Colony. I love Nil and the other wacky cats in the Mystic Colony, but I'm not crazy about the bog area around it ^^;

My personal favorite is Mystic! It just feels the most home-like to me. However, I do also have a soft spot for Forest as well. While I do really enjoy all the cats in the Mountain Domain, I'm just not a fan of the rocky aesthetic as a whole.

I like the mtn colony because Luna is from there and she is super sweet, the Mystic colony is too gross i personally think, But the forest colony is an awesome colony too

I absolutely love Mountain domain, and it's mainly because of the gifts they give. For example Robin and Arthur can give you a bluejay, Luna and Delta can give you a cardinal. But I also love the colony "camp" the waterfall is wonderful. And cool hunting grounds.

Yeah, but only Amber can give you cardinal. In mountain two cats can give you bluejay and two cats cardinal.

Honestly, I can't choose one.... Here's a few of the pros and cons.

The Mountain Colony has some very wonderful cats. Despite their appearance as a [in my opinion] war-loving colony, they're some very nice cats. Aurthur is definitely a very good cat - though I do love medieval speak, so...
And good gifts - such as Blue Jays and Cardinals. Mmm, yeah, definitely befriend those people. It also has good prey - lots of crows, doves, and rabbits [including black hares!]
The Mountain Domain also offers some lake fish, lots of water flowing through rivers, plentiful catnip, lavender, and marigold.
It also has a very nice camp, with the waterfall! However, some people don't like the mountain, rocky area. [I, personally, love it.]
Plus, both of the mines are near it!

For the Forest Colony though, that's some AWESOME prey. Plus, it's by the water AND mine. For those who are new, it's definitely the best option to get you started, plus that way you can decide which terrain you like better. [SPOILER: it also has a power paw next to its home square, through the log on its left].
It also has Missy, who's one of the most-chosen first cats. And scout, who's ALSO, like, the most-chosen first cat or around there. It ALSO has the poetry one, Laurus I think his name is? Their shopkeeper is also very friendly and will give you gifts a lot. Also, the Forest Colony gives you a teensy bit more gifts, and I think the second-best gifts.
And most people love the forest around it - that look is very safe and classic. The forest also has more prey - mostly mice and doves. 

The Mistic Colony is pretty good. It has lots of prey running in the locked square, though most of those are just toads and frogs. Though you can get fish there, in the little ponds! So for fish both the Mistic and Forest are good, you just have to decide if you like pond fish or ocean fish better.
The Mistic Colony also offers more turtles and such, as it's bog. It also has Oracle, who will offer you predictions of the next day's weather.
Now, a lot of people don't like the Mistic Colony's surrounding area, because they don't enjoy the bog. It also doesn't have a very good location.
However, it DOES have [KRAMPY, MY LOVE] some of the best mates! Such as Nil and Slip.  And a lot of people love Alice, I think her name is?
And a lot of fish, and crows. So, it's basically the in between of Forest and Mountain.
