All right, so I tried to add Unique Dialog for Daisy. And, after the game not-loading for many attempts... I made the code acceptable enough for the game actually load. But now the dialog won't show up in-game, and I can't figure out what's wrong. Here's the code in the meta file: { "dialog_lang_key": "lang_npc_opinion_of_dogs", "dialog_weight": -1, "dialog_unique": true, "dialog_filters": { "filter_friendship": 2, "filter_has_met_charlotte": true } }, (Idk why it's not pasting the spaces before the text, but trust me, it's there)
And here's the text in the lang file: "lang_npc_opinion_of_dogs": "[sad] #npc_name_charlotte# said I was 'weird' and 'dumb'.///[angry] Which is so unfair! [bouncy]Grrrr![/bouncy] I'm not weird and dumb! I wasn't sure what more I could do with the code, so I decided to focus on the portraits. And I finished the Thinking one! Now Daisy can think.
And, for fun, here's a picture of my cat (Ribby) talking to Daisy, with the latter wearing her new portrait!

I'm gonna be honest, I'm not 100% sure with this one. I don't think I've done these "choose your answer" sort of questions with either of my modded characters so I'm not too familiar with that. (My lazy ass was gonna wait for someone else to answer, tbh) I tried running what you sent through a JSON validator, but it didn't seem to tell me anything.
Maybe you could send me Daisy's files, and I could look into it deeper? Otherwise, I will say, my dialogue weight for these special dialogues are at 1000, not -1. But I doubt that's what's causing the issue.
The new portrait is very cute, along with Ribby. I love her subtle eyebrows.

It also didn't find anything wrong when I was missing commas at the end of the lines, so I don't know how trustworthy it is lol.
I'd be happy to send you Daisy's files. How should I go about doing that, though? I put the weight at -1 for testing purposes, because the official document said that it would override all other dialog objects. But I'll try 1000 or something, see if that works.

Quick update--
I tried 1000 weight, didn't work.
And also, really should have said this before, but I forgot. I remembered that once, the dialog did show up. But it was error message, like "This dialog doesn't exist!" blah blah blah, so I edited the lang file a bit, and that's when the dialog wouldn't show up.

Damn...yeah, I doubt the weight was it-seems to just decide dialogue priority, but it was worth a try. Again, I can take a look at the file itself, but otherwise I really don't know what it could be. Maybe the error is in something you didn't share here?

This makes the dialog appear exactly once per savefile. You can remove the matching key in your savefile to make it appear again.

IT WORKED!
Yay! Thanks, Falcon! Now I can maybe make more unique dialogs, but more importantly, I can finish up the portraits without guilt!

Well, would you look at that. Finished up another one of the portraits. The Angry one: "Grrrrrrrr!" as Daisy would say. Only the Blushing, Shocked, and Special portraits left. Then the mod shall be released!
