But he didn't hear her anyway because he's talking- almost shouting- in a relatively small space, and she has a small kit voice. Also, he's just not paying much attention to anything other than Dew and Jackal. But Robinheart heard and responded.

Flintstar hadn't heard Berrykit's mew, but he put the pieces together by listening to what Robinheart said. He was so fed up with these cats. "So, you just renamed this kit a few moons ago because of some other kit died, and you found out you were related?" He scoffed. "Kits this young usually remember what happened just a few moons ago. They open their eyes at half a moon, after all." Flintstar looked to Berrykit. "Is what they say true?" he asked. He was about to just kick them out anyway when he heard a mew from Robinheart.

Robinheart put her tail on Flintstar's shoulder, trying to calm him down. She looked to the rouges and asked them a simple question. "What is your connection to MistClan?" she asked, putting her tail to her mate's mouth when he tried to say something else. Robinheart blinked at the rouges calmly, waiting.

She looked at Flintstar "We meet Berry's mother when she was just about to kit. The first Berrykit had died a few sunrises ago. We told Berry's mother about this and so when she" she meowed pointing to Berry. "was born, her mother named her that. Then the mother died and we kept Berry close to us. Like proper kin." She looked towards the she-cat. "I see you leader is upset by our presence. Shall we leave then come back in 2 sunrises for your clan's answer?" She meowed politely and started backing away towards the entrance. She ignored the she-cat question. It would just lead to more arguing.

Redfur
He leads Featherstorm into the camp and places his thrush down. He angles his ears towards the leaders den. I never heard that voice before? " Featherstorm, listen." He whispered and pointed his tail towards the leader den.

Robinheart blinked at them, a bit surprised. "What is your connection to MistClan?" she asked again. Flintstar again drew a breath to speak, and she stopped him again. "Shh. Let them answer," she told him without looking his way. She just stared into the Dew's eyes with pure curiosity. "Well?" Robinheart wondered if they would just run away and abandon their offer. Surely not. They've been trying so hard, she thought.

Jackal cleared her thought, at this point she knew lying was only going to dig them into a deeper hole. "None." She answered honestly. Her voice was raspy for going so long without talking but it was still understandable

She dropped her prey. "They look like rouges! And Berrykit's up there too! Is that her family? I doubt it, her family are bad cats, and not to be trusted. They taught her a game called kill the clan cat. I don't trust them, and neither should Flintstar." She whispered, padding up to the den. "Is this Berrykit's family?" She asked. "If they are, they are not to be trusted. Her family is bad, they taught Berrykit a game called kill the clan cat. I think that's proof enough we shouldn't even think to trust them if they are Berrykit's family." She stared at the rouges and looked down at Berrykit. "Come here sweetie, lets go to the nursery and play that game you wanted to play earlier, sorry if I poofed out of nowhere, I had to go on patrol." She bent down and nuzzled her, despite the rouges staring at her.

She nodded in agreement. "Why would we have any?" She asked. She turned towards a new voice and saw two cats. "Hello, I am Berry's kin. Her parents died and I have been hunting for her. I am Dew and this is Jackal." She mewed then stared at the she-cat as she talked to Berry.

Redfur
He follows Featherstorm to the den. "Yes, comeon Berrykit." He meowed to the little kitten.

"Well, Dew, Jackal, consider yourself not welcome here." She growled and padded out of the den, as it was starting to get a bit crowded.

She held back a sharp retort and simple stared at the she-cat. "I am sorry that I have upset her." She meowed to the dark ginger tom.

He growled slightly and padded out of the den to be with Featherstorm. "I hope they dont take Berrykit,"

Jackal didn't glare at the she-cat like she wanted too, she had already talked and that was enough for today. I shouldn't be surprised how many entitled cats make up this clan.

"Don't think to ever come here again! Berrykit is mine, and you need to get out of this camp! If you do, nothing good will ever come from it!" She called and walked away. "I hope so too Redfur.. Berrykit is everything to me, besides you of course.."

Robinheart nodded thoughtfully. "Great! "That's all we need." she said cheerfully, a smile on her face. Flintstar looked perplexed and angry. Turning to him, she started to explain. "You see, Flintstar, out on patrol, their mother said she knew stuff about MistClan that happened a long time ago. Now, if they just got here 5 moons ago, that would mean that it's not really so long ago, right? That group was hostile earlier. Dew must be lying, because they taught Berrykit kill the Clan cat. They have a hatred for Clans, and judging by Midnight's words, it's MistClan they have problems with." As she spoke, her cheerful voice had diminished into a normal but thoughtful voice. After stopping to breathe for a bit, Robinheart continued, looking up to the rouges. "What do you have to say for yourselves?"

Jackal felt her neck fur bristle a bit, being mean to a couple of rouges, even if it was so idiotic, was one thing, trying to keep a kit from its kin was another. Stone faced, Jackal dug her claws into the ground below her, imagining it was that rude tabby's fur.

"We dont know anything. I dont know why mother said that. And how do you know it was us you had taught Berry the game. Are you sure it was us. Did she say that I taught her?"

She turned around, in a storming rage. "Oh, she said her auntie, uncle, and Dewy taught her 'Kill the Clan Cat'. So don't try and lie to me." Her fur had spiked up. "Why don't you just kick them out now Flinstar?" She dipped her head, and her voice turned from raging to respectful. "They have blatantly lied to us, and that's no cat to trust if you ask me." She said.
