MistyreedCould you please remove the artwork of Eelstripe that was traced from this thread? I'm not comfortable with my character being depicted in a stolen work.

((Hi! Sorry for the inconvenience but I think I'm going to have to pull out from this roleplay. :c I've gotten involved with a few big projects offsite that are going to be eating up my time. You can have Eelstripe be killed by whatever mystery beast this is, as I don't want him to be adopted out. ))

Eelstripe bounded up onto a misshapen boulder to survey the rocky area around them, legs made powerful by a life of swimming allowing him to make the leap easily. He could see the pier further off, in the setting sun it wasn't as busy but the moving forms of twolegs could still be seen moving to and fro. Instinctively he flattened himself, grateful that his shadowy grey pelt would only make him look like a dark splotch against the stone. The clan would have to be careful if they took this place as twolegs were a curious bunch, especially the kits. A few had once come further down the beach than was usual, putting the Seaclan cats on edge, but luckily had left as soon as their parents had come to fetch them. The weird long limbed beasts made him uneasy, the further they stayed away the better. As of yet, nothing interesting had presented itself to him, a few broken eggshells of sea bird and mouse droppings in the crevice between two stones, but most of the prey seemed to have sensed danger and hidden away.
Saltbreeze's exclamation made him lift his head, ears up and alert. Padding over to the speckled molly, he tasted the air and wrinkled his muzzle at the unfamiliar scent. It was one he couldn't quite place.

A feeling of satisfaction tingled through Eelstripe, finally, something interesting was happening! Something he could take part of no less. Flexing his claws in anticipation, he found himself sitting in self reflection as Frostfur padded off to find the others whose names she had rattled off. It wasn't exactly uncharted territory, some of the clan liked to wander a little from the borders to explore or hunt. But this was new in its own way, a glance over to see if it was worth taking. As Frostfur returned and enquired with Sharkstar, he sat a little straighter. It was a decent sized patrol for its purpose, enough eyes to survey but not enough to be seen as an attack party if they had company...probably.

Ohhh! Very nice. I FINALLY realized what she reminds me of, a caracal! One of my favorite wild cats.

Eelstripe's dark copper eyes narrowed at Quailmask's cheerful voice as she addressed Sharkstar, the molly had been a part of the clan for a while now and integrated herself into their ranks nicely enough but she was always too friendly with the twolegs. He had caught the stench of the hairless beasts from the freshkill pile since he had arrived back in the cave, it was faint and likely from only a few pieces of prey but it still made him wrinkle his nose. It happened often enough that he wasn't surprised, only disgruntled. A real cat didn't need to lick up to a gangly beast that could easily bring disaster upon the clan, if she was ever followed back...he focused on Sharkstar's next words to distract himself. Let the medicine cat have her fun, even if it prickled his pelt to know some of the food in the camp was gotten by begging from their enemies, it wasn't his business. The crowd seemed to grow and shrink around him as Fallstream fled after asking a question only to return a little later and the resident elder was led to the medicine den, it was certainly a lively announcement.
Raising his head a little higher, he added his own voice to the proceedings, "I agree with Sharkstar, Greenleaf is here now but when Leaffall comes the sea will grow cold, leafbare even colder. The sea isn't kind during colder moons, having more places to hunt where our paws will be dry could be the difference between surviving and dying" He curled his tail over his paws as he finished speaking, there were dangers, yes, and he was a wary cat. But the reward outweighed the risk in his mind, with the two new apprentices the clan was only just starting to recover from the losses of last leafbare.

An interesting proposal, the clan didn't have much competition for space here and it likely wouldn't be too hard to push the border further. As far as he knew they were the only significantly sized group in the area, they could chase off any rogues that may have their fur ruffled over the clan stretching their land. Eelstripe's ears were up and alert, gauging the reactions around him. Some cats were more enthusiastic than others if Nettletooth's sigh told him anything, he was neutral to the news, it would be more prey for the clan but also more land to patrol. All things had tradeoffs and life was one big exchange, it could be managed with a little effort on their part.
Licking a paw, he drew it over his ears thoughtfully as he let his eyes slide over his clanmates once more. It would be a lie to say he didn't want to be on one of the scouting patrols, it would be something new to do. Seaclan enjoyed a relatively peaceful existence aside from the dangers that came with the territory, too much relaxation could be dull after awhile.

Thanks, Misty! He looks great, very smug and probably thinking about the best place to nap where he can't be found.

(( @shortee , in the future please do not control my character. ))
Eelstripe had shaken out his fur on the way back to camp, bounding back up the network of inner caves to reach the clan meeting place in time had worked warmth through his limbs as well, melting away any lingering chill from the water. When he finally plopped himself before Sharkstar with the rest of the clan, he was fighting to control his breathing into something more dignified after the mad dash. Studying the grey leader's face was fruitless, he couldn't throw any guesses as to what the announcement would be. Hopefully something good, or at least neutral. One of the last few announcements he remembered was a warning about jellyfish in the area, he'd hunted solely on land for a number of sunrises after that one. As the clan filled in around him into one giant mass of staring eyes and twitching tails, Eelstripe focused his eyes on Sharkstar as well with perked ears.

Skip me for now as I have nothing to really react to. Should we consider introducing something to unify everyone together in this like a storm or clan meeting? ))
