Couple things:
1) I never fully upgraded the greedy paw. The second level is already pretty powerful, and the high diamond cost for the third upgrade dissuades me. I personally would recommend lowering the cost to perhaps one diamond, keep the emeralds high.
2) I really enjoyed decorating my den in the first game with my stuff. The greedy paw gets in the way of this, because I only need to forget to unequip it once for all my decor to come flying at me. Since I see no good reason for greedy paw to pick up items in your home, I think it would be a good idea to disable greedy paw effects altogether inside your own den. This allows more decorations to be placed without having to raise the furniture cap, though for memory conservation purposes a cap for dropped items in the home might also be desirable.
I've also added a poll if anyone wants to toss in their feedback.

These sound like great ideas I never upgraded the paw either! I always kept it at level 1. I wasn't sure it was worth it. Diamonds are hard to come across and I really dislike mining. I don't really drop stuff in my den as decor so the second option wouldn't affect me, but I understand about the players who do that and would be really annoyed if they picked up all the items they carefully organized.
