I really liked how in the first game, you had 4 different storage boxes to separate out and sort your items. The huge all-encompassing storage in Wildwood is also nice, but in some cases I'd like to be able to put items in a different storage container for further sorting!
For example on my im-paw-ssible difficulty save, instead of selling items right away I keep them to sell later, in case I die and lose all my mews. Grabbing the items to sell them is time consuming as I have to pick them out from the items I'm actually keeping. Having a second storage where I can keep those items specifically would be a nice alternative to this.
As for the problem of how the colony storage crate and other objects would work, maybe the second storage could only be accessed from a specific furniture item in the den, while all other storage objects would still lead to the main one.
I'm curious if any of you guys also think this would be helpful! :D

The problem is that it seems all storages link to one table of items right now. Possible solution: have multiple (say, 4) inventory tables, and the ability to define a storage to one of those 4 sets. This could even be implemented as another upgrade to buy in-game.
