So this is mostly a question for the developer but I'm putting it out here just in case someone happens to know. Does anyone know how the numbers are generated for any corresponding color on a kitten in the save file data? Take for example this line, The numbers 12556926 codes for a kitten's face color. In this case, my kitten's face is light blue. When I tried pasting these set of numbers into RGB, it did not come up with any known color on the wheel. I then tried matching it into other traditional color systems like HSL or CMYK and nothing popped up either. I thought that maybe it could be a decimal value, although the colors that search gave me did not match the color the kitten had in game; it gave me a light brown. I'm starting to think that the numbers are just randomly generated for any given color in the game. I'm not really sure. I'm also not sure why .sav files use this method for colors while .meta files uses rgb... but that's just a personal gripe of mine. Maybe it's easier to code. I could also be overlooking another color system that uses numbers like this and if I have, please let me know.

I might be wrong on this, and I'd love any official confirmation/elaboration on this as I've wondered about it too. Cattails is made in GameMaker Studio 2, and upon looking it up, some GameMaker games choose to store their colors in the "MS Access" format, which is also called "OLE". At least, I think those two are the same. I've never heard of this until now, and it seems to be a somewhat dated format. No clue why it's used here, but I assume there's some technical reason behind it. I found this converter that can convert between hex and OLE, which is why I'm confident that this is it. At least, it gave me appropriate colors when putting in your number and some from my own save. Let me know if I'm mistaken, though.

Well, you got your confirmation just now! (Also gratifying to hear I'm not the only one trying to debunk this haha) I wouldn't have thought to link the game engine to the color format; I think you're right about the whole OLE thing! I converted the 12556936 into RGB using the website and the hexadecimal code is an exact match with my kitten. I can't thank you enough. You saved me from the pain and hours of trying to figure this out myself!!
