i had a few questions that i couldn't find any information on in-game or online: - what does the "nine lives" skill do exactly? the description isn't very clear and i couldn't figure out what it does when i activated it both in camp and outside of camp
- what does levelling up skills do? does it reduce their cooldown, make them more powerful, both, or something else?
- what time does the queen of the night herb spawn? i ran around for a bit after 12am in the map quadrants that seem to have them (according to a couple guides) and used the botany skill, but i didn't find any. should i have looked later or do they not show up with the botany skill?

I think I had my first Queen of the Night pick spawn at 10pm or 11pm, like right around those times too when I went into another square on the map so I think that's a good gauge to when it can start to pop up at night. And also they DO show up on the Botany radar! It's just luck regarding when they do show up I think.

I just found a queen of the night at about 8:30, so I'd say probably as soon as the sky begins to darken.

So far it seems to me that leveling up skills reduces the cooldown time, but I have been wondering if that’s for sure true as I haven’t been playing long.
As for the nine lives skill…I can’t figure it out either lol

The Nine Lives skill summons projectiles that will automatically shoot at nearby enemies. I've found it to be pretty useful.

Nine Lives has a list of effects. Essentially, it summons a bunch of sprites that activate one after another ever second or so and each does one thing (there is a priority list, though I don't know the fertilization priority):
1. Attack a nearby enemy for 1 damage 2. Break a nearby rock 3. Pick a nearby herb/mushroom 4. Pick up a nearby item 5. Raise friendship with a nearby colony cat (once per cat per use of Nine Lives, excluding your current buddy) 6. Randomly spawn mews at a patch of ground (they usually choose to do so at some grass, but can do so even if there is no grass) 7. Fade from existence, doing nothing (only if they cannot do anything else when they go to act) Priority Somewhere: Fertilize a plant if the garden is nearby.
Leveling up skills reduces cooldown and increases the effectiveness of some of them. Nine Lives spawns more sprites. Wild Slash does more damage. Mortal Wounds can eventually kill 2 enemies. Tiger's Breath gets a bigger hit box. However some have no additional effectiveness. Return Home just has a shorter cooldown upon leveling up.
