I'm really glad the demo came out publicly for those who didn't get the corresponding backing tiers, so we too can get a more proactive taste of what is to be expected!
As someone who's completely played the entirety of the timespan of said demo, here are my thoughts:
-It lived up to the hype for sure! I admit I was sad that not all the cats were readily available in the demo, but I suppose that is fair considering the full game won't be available until Q4 at the earliest. It would've also been nice to be able to play a bit further too-
-Coat Studio is really goode too! It's a bit limiting in terms of what can be done due to the layering, but I was able to recreate my Cattails ocs(Mariposa and Tea) relatively well with the options provided + switching the color sliders to RGB instead of HSV!
-I'm also pleasantly surprised with the festival changes. Two different games to play 3 times each? Yes please! I... admit I don't know if this will be the case for the other seasons, but it'd be cool if it was!
-Though it did take me a little bit to get used to the more extensive controls, like not having to hold down Shift(or similar key) to crouch/sneak(tapping the sneak key to be in perma sneak until disrupted or key is tapped again is a blessing), or figuring out that if you tapped the dodge button while walking, it's an easier way to go into sprint mode as opposed to double tapping the movement keys quickly(my fumble fingers did not want to cooperate with the intended method)
However, I do have one suggestion I desperately wish to make.
It takes a bit for the game to boot up on my pc, to where the window wants to do the 'Not Responding' thing for a while before loading up the cinematic that plays before the title screen. And even trying to skip it by clicking makes it want to stutter for a moment before stabilizing.
Can we have a toggle option to automatically go to the title screen upon opening the game, please? It might make the startup process a little smoother for those who don't have beefy pcs-
