Aight so I'm terrible at making guides and such but I wanted to give some small tips on how to color your npc if you wanted to try modding! 1. The color codes in game will not work or rather will not come out right if you try copying them from the game and into your npc's files. What I personally use is a color picker website like Coolors for this. Here's a like to it Color Picker.
2. What I usually do is either create the pelt in game then use the color picker or find outside references for pelts then use the website. On an additional note here are some more color websites to help you! If you want a specific eye color or something like that & Want to double check something? This is a good website for that3. Quick sidenote that all color codes when coding should be in RGB! So you should always change the color codes settings on these websites to it. That's all I really have to offer at the moment. Please let me know if you need clarification on something.

If you go into the game options, there is an option called Color Style. You can change that from HSV to RGB and that'll give you the RGB color codes in the Coat Studio.
It took me way too long to figure that out myself. Hopefully it helps you out!
