using keyboard to retrieve individual items from storage

If you use your keyboard to select an item in storage and then press e to retrieve it to your inventory while selected, the selection marker will jump from the storage to your inventory along with the retrieved item. sometimes this doesn't happen, and i believe this happens if you're on retrieving an item from the second page for more?
