I started playing the first Cattails a while ago, and I actually had to put it down because of the opening scene of the main character cat being abandoned by humans. It felt entirely out of place given the synopsis and trailers, and kinda triggered me a little. Now that I'm playing the game itself, such a tragic intro feels really unnecessary. I haven't gotten far enough in to see if humans play any kind of role later on, but even if they do, that intro felt a bit unnecessary. I hope they don't include this kind of thing in the new one.
