I have an idea where I want to continue as my kittens, but restart as them Is there any way to turn these furs in to a new save file? It'd be so cool to have generations of cats in this way.

Not really. You can kind of "reset" it, but it's kind of weird, and you'd have to edit your save file to do it. Basic explanation under the spoiler. Basically, what you would do is manually reset ALL your stats (exp, friendship, marriage, items, den upgrades minus nursery, optionally time, etc) except for money and the kitten you want to "play" as. To bring money to 0, you have to just waste it all in-game as it's either weird or impossible to do it with just the save. You must keep the "playing" kitten because the game needs something to reference to give you their pelt, if that makes sense. It needs to know what 'kitten 1' looks like before it can turn you into 'kitten 1'.
After you've cleared everything except for your "playing" kitten, you can go ahead and start playing on your essentially restarted file. However, you will not be able to have kittens of your own, because since you have to keep the kitten there, the game will think you've already had kittens and not trigger the event (even if it did, they'd just be overwritten). There is a workaround for this, though: when you want to have kittens, change your pelt to the closest non-kitten one you can get. Go into the file and delete the kitten you've been stealing the pelt from, and reset the 'has spouse asked for kittens' parameter to no. Eventually they will ask and you will have kittens as normal, though once the kitten you got the pelt from is gone, you won't be able to get it again.
You could avoid deleting the kitten with the pelt you're wearing by just filling in the other kitten slot(s) when you want kittens, though they will look more like your cat's "siblings" rather than kids. You could set them to kitten age, though, and I doubt it'd be too different. You could also rename and de-age the kitten with the copied pelt to make it seem like they're more "yours". However, if you wanted to continue this for a 3rd generation, this method may not be ideal as the generations would get very same-y very quickly. You could totally switch out between this and the other way to give yourself kittens every generation if you wanted, though. If you don't know much about cattails file editing, the above all probably sounds like a jumbled mess to you lol. If you would like me to clarify anything, just ask. If you want to try and do this despite the setbacks, I could assist if needed. Either way, hope I helped answer your question!
