any way to edit preexisting pelts?

hello ! i would love to incorporate my own character into cattails, and i just want to edit some pelt files in ms paint to basically alter what my cat looks like. the closest pelt to what my character looks like is the black and white pelt, but i don't really enjoy how it looks. is this possible? i ran %appdata% and the only files in the cattails folder are just script stuff in notepad, no sprite files or anything. please respond if you know anything about this !

If this is possible, I’d expect it to be patched before we know it. Pelts section in the files have a strict “No discussion” rule as well. It is impossible to upload in image through file editing.

What you’re thinking of might be modding, which is unavailable and if implemented likely won’t have this function due to custom pelts being a Kickstarter thing.
