Imagine, you marry a doctor, you have kids.
Then you go to war to fight for your colony, just barely saving a big chunk of your territory, clinging to life. Day by day you risk your life for the good of your people.
You go to your mate, seeking medicine for your life-threatening wounds. You are going to die.
"Oh sure, I'll heal you!"
