Okay, so I edited... a lot ... on my save file. It worked, that's not the issue I'm having. The thing is, after I did all this editing(maxed out skills/relationships, main quest "complete), I kept my cat's age the same(Summer 2, Year 1). And although I set the Coco Trinket Introduction thing to MQ==(true), there are still no shiny trinkets in the shops. Is there anything I can do to get a shiny trinket soon or do I actually have to wait until they come out when my cat ages? (I'm really impatient.) I've tried the idea in the "item hack" post and bought a shiny trinket on an older cat's save and tried to transfer it to the edited one, but the game crashed(Don't worry I backed it up so no harm done). I tried putting it in my inventory, and even tried putting it in one of my storages in my den, but no luck so I need other methods. Have any of you figured out a way to do this?

Well, you can always make it trigger "naturally". First, change the trinket introduction section back to MA== so we can force it to trigger. Press CTRL+F while opening the file and type in Season. This should take you to the Season/Day/Time section. Change the season to Winter (Mw==) and the day to 10 (MTA=). If I remember correctly, he shows you the trinket in early Spring. So, he should show it to you the following day. If he doesn't show it to you by Spring 5th, I don't know what to do. But if he does, just save and you're good to go. Oh, and if you want to keep it at Summer 2, just change the day/season value back to what they were originally after you've saved with the trinket unlocked. Hope this works.

I came across the same issue that many people are having with the scene not showing up if you manage to establish your "Custom Colony" within year one and the game starts you on summer. My understanding or guess is that if Coco moves to your new Den at your "Custom Colony" before your first spring in game year two in the file that I was on for some reason, then Coco cannot trigger the action to meet you at your den to activate the cut scene, and even telling the save file that "MQ" you've seen the cut scene doesn't work. So I have made a work around of sorts.....
The game is clever as far as I can tell? and creates a unique code or something that is tied to each save file so that you cannot simply move an item code from one inventory to the next because that will crash your game.
SOOOOO.... I created a full inventory with hopefully enough of the items you would need on Cattails: Become a Cat! 2017 to romance your chosen spouse. I think for the most part that catnip is a universal like or loved gift.... Anyway... Here is a fully completed inventory containing the codes for what the inventory size is supposed to be and a matching inventory check thingy that I think is what was crashing the game... that you will replace your whole inventory with.
The inventory that you will copy contains
50 Catnip
6 Roses (this took me so many hours already that I just wasn't going to spend 12 in game days to collect a full dozen roses!)
3 Shiny Trinkets (Three in case you make a mistake and give it to early or end up wanting a divorce and need another one too)
1 Black Rose (In case you do want that divorce)
Note, when Summer year 2 rolled around the shop in my Custom Colony was stocking the Shiny Trinket, but that didn't work for me until I had manually added an inventory that contained the Shiny Trinket first.
BEFORE YOU SWAP OUT YOUR INVENTORY REMEMBER TO STORE EVERYTHING IN IT IN YOUR DEN FIRST!!!!!!!
YOU CAN THROW IT ALL ON THE GROUND IF YOU HAVEN'T UNLOCKED STORAGE IT NEVER DESPAWNS IN YOUR DEN
