How about life stages chaççange like maybe when you join the colonies you are a kitten and after the first year pass you can do other stuff.
Each year there is a set of rules maybe, like if you are a kitten you cant participate in battles,etc

How about a nocturnal challenge? Since some NPCs go to sleep quite early, it might not let your cat interact with them. The battles and daily quests also refresh at midnight so it would require your cat to be speedy.

Nice idea! I'll force the player to sleep in the morning, which makes them wake up at 7PM (convenient for this challenge!)

I've been toying with the idea of a sort of ultimate pacifist/vegan* challenge where you have to keep your cat alive by only eating your foraged items, but I don't know how feasible that is, especially once winter sets in.
*I'm well aware RL cats need meat and I don't endorse RL feline veganism, so please don't yell at me. XD The idea came from trying to figure out a way to restrict resources.
I haven't seen it, but I'm sure someone's at least thought of this one. A picky eater challenge with adjustable difficulty. Like, at minimum, your cat has one prey they prefer and one they absolutely refuse to eat no matter what, and you can increase the number of one or the other, or maybe have your cat eat exclusively your favorites, or groups, etc. So one person has a cat that only eats doves. Someone else's will try to eat either species of rabbit, but will eat like a squirrel or something if rabbits are just impossible to find that day, but they will die before they eat a frog or toad. Or someone's cat is allowed to eat all fish but hates the taste of birds, or something like that.

Wanderer Challenge: You constantly flip flop between colonies and don't really belong to one in particular, you go wherever you are needed most.For extra challenge, you can choose not to use healers and instead rely on herbs you find on the way. This means when you die, the challenge is over unless you choose to play as one of your kittens.
