the train rolled into the station, a horrible screech as it slammed on its brakes, grinding against the tracks. you lean back in your seat, letting out a low breath of relief. your dad would kill you if you got injured on a train. also, if he knew you were here. you sigh as a loud voice reminds everyone to be careful disembarking the train. you've barely started to stand up when there's the sound of light footsteps. you groan, turning to face the person. a skinny, long-legged boy stares back at you, probably around thirteen, equipped with brown, almost black hair, and matching dark eyes. he smiled at you. "please be careful disembarking the train, as you may..." the announcer reminded them. the boy frowned, glancing around. he turned back to you. "these trains are dangerous. just one misstep and- boom! it's all gone." the boy remarked, with the odd smile still on his face. he held a freckled hand out to you. "they should be sued, shouldn't they? no comment? oh well. you're coming with me, right?"
you blink at the boy. he'd confused you so much you barely heard what he said. what do you do? a. go with him b. don't go with him c. ask who he is d. ask who he came with

d. ask who he came with
"wait, before i go with you.." you pause, thinking for a moment. "where are your parents?" the boys' smile fades for a second. "if you must know, i made the trip on my own. as did you, i believe? no comment? oh, well. the trains' going to leave soon, so unless you want to head back to america, i suggest you come with me." you hesitate, before following him off the train. the boy grips your hand, practically dragging you through the crowd. maybe that's best, since he'd be pretty easy to lose. the boy stopped outside a small store with dark windows, labeled as торговля товарами. "trade goods," the boy explained as he saw your look. "a lot of people like to meet outside here, so we're not suspicious. also, hardly anyone understands english in russia, so there's that." he paused for a moment. "now, i think you have a few questions?"
a. ask who he is b. ask why he's alone c. ask why they'd be suspicious d. ask what he's doing in russia

b. ask why he's alone
"why aren't your parents with you? or a sibling?" you ask, raising an eyebrow at him. the boy frowns. "that doesn't matter," he says stiffly. "you don't need to worry about that. anything else you want to ask?" the door swung open behind him. the boy turned slightly, frowning. "anything else you want to ask, or should i move on?" you start to reply, when the door opened again. a group of people left the building, all speaking in thick russian. you've got no idea what they were saying to each other. "ty poteryalsya?" a soft voice, surprisingly british voice from behind you asked. you and the boy spin around. a tall, dark-haired man with quite pale skin frowned at you, brown eyes narrowed. he had a thin build, but wore a heavy jacket. he started to say something else, before pausing. "i'm sorry, i didn't realize you were americans. are you lost?"
a. ask who he is b. ignore him c. ask if the boy knows him d. ask why he's there
