LIONCLAN
INTRODUCTION
What were the clans like before the era of small cats? How did the big cats dwell and survive?
What were the clans like before the era of small cats? How did the big cats dwell and survive?
You wander the hot savanna, wondering if you will ever make it by yourself. The herd of buffalo huddle has the strongest ones protect the meek little ones. The gazelles run away from your lingering scent. Death... it’s inevitable. You’re feet ache as the dry hot ground touches you after each step. You don’t feel safe, you’re alone, no one has your back. As you keep walking, a scent of stranger territory hits your nose, but your tired body prevents you from detecting it before its too late. A healthy large female tackles you, pinning your arms against the hot ground. She snarls, “Wandering lions are not very welcome in our territory.” She bares her teeth and gets ready to head for the killing bite until a sudden roar keeps her from doing so. A male voice rumbles, “I appreciate your loyalty for this Clan*. However, we are in need of more lions.” His eyes dig into yours, “So what will it be? Join us or face death itself.”
*I know a group of lions is a pride, but just for the sake of this rp*
Camp of LionClan
The whole camp is surrounded by thorn bushes as a way to prevent intruders and to prevent trouble making cubs from leaving. It’s a home to lions who are only loyal to the clan.
Leader’s Den
A cool cave big enough to let two lions sleep inside. The floor is cold rock, but a section of it is covered in pelts of different prey. The rocks are almost thick enough to be sound proof, so important discussion are most likely not heard.
Medicine Den
A huge Sagole Baobab log that has enough space to let 6 lions sleep inside. Inside has 6 pelt nests and a section of herb storage.
Hunters’ and Protectors’ Den
The den for Hunters and Protectors are a large stone slab that can hold at least 10 lions. The stone slab is covered in animal pelts all around. The only problem that comes up is that the den is right next to the thorn bush wall so if one lion accidentally rolls off on the wrong side, they’re bound for a surprise.
Trainees’ Den
Trainees’ den is a big patch of dry grass, covered in pelts. There is enough space for 6 trainees.
Cubs’ Den
The den for cubs is also a big Sagole Baobab log. It has enough place to let 5 lions sleep inside. Most of the floor is covered in pelts and a section of the den has a pile of bones for the cubs to teeth on and play with.
Cave of the Unloved
This place is where the prisoners are kept, they are lions who were originally in the clan and decided to betray them or broke a essential rule. It’s a cave that can fit at least 3 lions. There’s only dry grass on the ground.
Caller’s Rock.
There is a tall stone slab big enough for 2 cats to stand on. On there, the leader, deputy, or healer roars to gather the lions’ attention before starting a meeting.
Territory
Watering Hole
The Watering Hole is a giant pond full of fresh clear water, surrounded by trees and vegetation that grows around it. It is a selective place for training trainees when it comes to hunting practice. A lot of animals are around most of the times. Visits to the Watering Hole is limited during the dry season.
Hill of Ancestors
An empty termite mound that has a carved moon on the top. Healers, leaders, and deputies have to sleep with their left front paw touching the mound in order to talk to the ancestors. The ancestors are in a place called SaberClan.
Grazing Lands
The Grazing Lands are covered with herbivores to prey on. It’s the perfect place to train young ones and hunt for food. The grass that covers the lands are tall enough to hide in. Herbs can be found here as well.
Land of Traitors
Any lions that are exiled belong in the back area if the territory. It’s not a good area to live in. Water is scarce, prey is scarce, finding hope to live is scarce. Lions are not advised to live there.

LionClan Rules:
1.Stealing prey from hyenas’ is very discourages, every animal deserves to eat.
2.Because of the lack of lions in the clan, do not immediately chase lions out and offer a position in the clan. Only chase out or kill if they fight, decline the offer, or if they are an exiled member.
3.Refusal or hesitation to kill humans are in need of an immediate punishment.
4.Hunting more than needed is wasting food and is not permitted.
5.Even if it is against the rules of LionClan, the leader’s order is always first.
6.Cubs must not leave the camp at all costs, trainees need two hunters or protecters at all times outside of camp.
7.No lion should leave camp by themselves.
8.Cubs will become trainees at 3 moons of age and will have a ceremony to a hunter or a protector at 30 moons of age. (I will make sure that important time skips are used to speed up the excruciating waiting time)
9.The leader will watch the trainee’s final hunting and fighting assessment and the leader will decide if the trainee gets to become a hunter or a protector. (The trainee can suggest to change their role.)
10.No matter how loyal a lion may be, the moment their whole body enters the Land of Traitors, you can’t come back in.
11.If a lion breaks any of these rules, the judgement will be given to the Leader.
12.Lions who commit a serious crime and prisoners who are too dangerous for the clan are sent to the Cave of the Unloved.
13.No lion should take excessive amount of water during the dry season.
14.No lion should abandon cubs of anyone, even from those not from the clan.

Inportant Information
Lions in this clan will have similar and different traditions. Lion cubs will start training at 3 moons (hunt small critters) and stay training until they turn 30 moons old. Lions typically become fully mature at 36 moons of age. I did not add elders inside this roleplay because lions in the wild tend to die 120 - 144 moons. (Typical healthy lion in captivity live up to 240 moons) Even though in real life lions only have 1-3 males, but for the sake of this roleplay this does not matter. And herbs that are found in the book series of warrior cats can be used because I do not know what type of herbs exist in Africa. Mothers do not have to stay away from the clan in order to have cubs. However male lions and other predators will go after small cubs in this roleplay. (There can be unfortunate death of cubs in this roleplay.)
Prisoners
Prisoners are lions who broke a rule in a major level or committed something that is unfit for the clan. Leaders can send anyone into prison as they please. Prisoners are allowed to walk around camp, but are not allowed to leave. They are only allowed to leave during times of battle and war. And in that case, the prisoners are left in the front line of battle. During a normal day, a prisoners is watched nearby from someone in camp and they are asked to avoid cubs and young trainees as much as they can. They are the last to be fed.
Leadership
Leadership can be challenged only between the leader and deputy, however anyone can ask to battle for the deputy’s place. In order to challenge leadership, both sides have to agree. Usually rejecting an offer is a sign of fear and is often looked down upon. The competition that is taken place for a battle in leadership is a hunting challenge and a fighting challenge. Whoever hunts the most prey wins and whoever wins the fighting match wins. However there are exceptions, if somehow there happens to be an equal amount of prey, then the leader must taste the prey from both sides and choose which one is the tastes the best. No matter who wins, there will always be a feast to the victor.
