I'm nearly done with the forest guardian quest on my first save file, and I'm looking at different den sites. There's a small one that I've been considering for a long time but I'm changing my mind about, and I want to use a larger one, but it's a great source for prey and I'm worried that, if I build my town on it, the prey spawners will disappear. Does this happen, and if does, is there any way to partially get around it? (Ex: Could you build your town in a certain part of the area and ignore the other?) This sounds a bit stupid to me as I write it, but I do want to know before I start my colony.
