Hey, question about Kittens. Are their pelt colors set at any time before they are born, or can you wait until the day before they are born, save, and change your/mate's(custom) pelt color to test out different combinations? I might do some testing with custom cats and player pelts, and was wondering how tedious it would be to reset for colors.

The game generates the colors pretty much as they're shown. I have a save where it's the day before the kitten's birth, and I just keep reloading that one until I get the event. It can take a while, but from my experience this is the fastest method.

All of these images are from screenshots taken in-game; none of them were taken from Youtube videos. Although, yea, several people probably already knew what that combination looked like.

I haven't updated this guide in a while, but I haven't given up on it! If you have kitten pelts, please show me! I'll try to add them ASAP, assuming I don't forget.

This forum is pretty close to inactive, so I'm no longer actively working on this. However, if there's any particular kitten color combo(s) you want to see, feel free to ask and I can probably gather them for you! If you want, you can show me pictures of your kitten coats and I might add them if I get around to it. Thanks!

You could always save RIGHT before you think you're about to have the kits and then after you have them, close DON'T save. Close out the game and then reload and wear a different color. Whatever color you are the night before the kittens are born is what's going to get mixed in with your spouse's color. It might be a bit tedious, but it's a way to experiment with the different colors.

Hello everyone! This is a thread containing charts I'm making of all the possible kitten pelt colors. I'm aware that castiron has a thread similar to this one here, but since that one hasn't been updated that one for many months now, I've decided to create a new thread. My goal is to make a chart for each pelt that shows the kitten possibilities with every available  pelt. Many of the images used in this chart were taken from the other thread, so I'd like to thank castiron and all the people who shared their kitten colors there for many of these pictures. I'll try to have charts with more of the NPCs soon. Earlier, I held a poll to see whose kittens you would be most interested in. Luna won with Robin in second, so expect to see those sometime! (Before any of the others, at any rate.)
This is quite a large project that is still a work in progress, so any help is appreciated! More info on how to help under the spoiler.
If you have kitten pictures, you don't need to ask, go ahead and post them! The ones used here are taken from the screen when they're being born, but if you have your kitten's pelt unlocked, a picture of it in the menu will also work. Please save your images as a png, not a jpg or jpeg(If it's a jpg or jpeg, the image is lower quality. I can fix it a bit, but it takes a bit more time). I don't have the PopCon coat or any of the custom pelts without codes released. If you do, it'd be very helpful if you could help get kitten coats! If you don't want to do it yourself, you can PM a save file or a code with any of those pelts unlocked to me, and I can gather the combinations myself. I would only use the file to expand this guide, and I wouldn't distribute it to anyone else- though to remove the risk, I recommend just doing it yourself. Of course, don't feel pressured to do so! If you don't want to share any pelts, that's completely understandable.

Kittens with the Guardian pelt do not glow or appear transparent. Kittens with the Ghost pelt do not appear transparent. Kittens with the rainbow pelt don't change color, they stay mostly red.

Hey! If you're talking about this color guide, I'm pretty much inactive on the forum, so I probably won't work on it more on my own time. However, if there's a color combination you want to see in particular, I can get it for you.  If you're asking about updates for Cattails itself, the developer (FalconDevelops) has said that the game is pretty much considered finished. While not impossible, it's highly unlikely that the game will ever get an update  . Hope you and your family are enjoying playing Cattails, though! |
