Well, I mean, is it possible to edit a saved file by opening it up in notepad++, and tries to edit the codes inside? If this is possible, am I allowed to do that?

Possible and allowed! The only thing we'd ask is that if you touch the Pelts section, you don't discuss it with others.
It's also quite possible to mess up your savefile pretty easily, so we'd recommend keeping a good backup somewhere.

Oh, okay! I've been wanting to mess with the files a bit, thinking about changing the kits' personality. Is it possible that all of them can be Adventurous? And if I messed with the saves incorrectly, will I accidentally break the game's selection part, let's say, the menu? Or the Inventory stuff? (not that I've broken it, though. Just want to make sure nothing awful serious might happen to the game  ) |

There's some pretty nasty stuff that can happen, including making your savefile no longer load. But nothing permanent (outside of that particular savefile)

Just copy that file and edit the copied file! Then you will still have that same file!
