So I just got past the first totem in the temple ruins (or whatever it's called) and I'm trying to do the beach-themed totem next. I know how to fish, but how do I get shells?

You'll find scallops (shells) on the shores of the beach. You walk to them and press E (keyboard) or A (controller) to pick them up.

I've walked across, but haven't been able to find any. If you can't give exact location, maybe you can describe how they look or what seasons you can find them in? |

You find them in all seasons, but they might not always be there. Glad you found them.
