Hey friends, I'm fairly new to this board and I just wanted to share thoughts and a hypothetical future plan I hope to implement..
Ok, so I started my custom colony and the first thing I did was recolor and rename all of my colony cats. The first thing I noticed was that when I recolored and talked to them the portraits of them that you see on the lefthand side right above their dialogue box changed to what pelt change I made. For example, I changed Mango to the guardian pelt and their portrait was the blue guardian coat(not glowing of course, but still really cool to see it in portrait mode).
Second, If I were to hold off on mating and waited till I started my custom colony then married a cat from my colony, recolored it to something of my choice then had kittens, would the kittens be a mix of my coat color at the time and my mate's original color or the color that I changed it to? BECAUSE THEN I COULD COMPLETELY CUSTOMIZE SOME REALLY COOL KITTENS.
If I do find the time to do this, I will definitely be posting pictures but if anyone else wants to comment or try it out, let me know:D
