Custom Colonies After Kittens?

I have been wondering for a while,
Can you make a custom colony after having kittens?
I have a save file with kittens and I was wondering if you can still make a custom colony after that,
I had this file for a very long time and I don´t want to start over on another file.
So is it possible to make a custom colony after marrying a cat AND having kittens?

Yup, totally possible! I did it with my save file. My cat had kittens WAY before hand, and I made a custom colony after the update with no problems.
