(Respect)
Stonedust still laid down as Streamtail groomed herself. He was in the mood for squirrel, but then again, he was always in the mood for squirrel. Finally, he stood to his paws, his fur sticking up in all directions, thought he didn't really care. "Let's go get your rabbit, m'lady."

Instead, Streamtail split up and dashed off. She trotted farther into territory. She stopped dead in her tracks as she spotted something blue against the brown bark of trees. A Bluejay! Her second-favorite! She dropped into a crouch, and began to climb up the bark, slick and slithering easily. At last, she leapt and slashed her claws out. The bird tried to leave, but fell dead and fell to the ground. Streamtail smiled, but it faded. The branch under her was cracking and splitting open!

Stonedust followed after her, watching from the bushes as Streamtail climbed up a tree. He smiled as the blue jay fell to the ground, but it quickly changed to a look of horror as the branch she was standing on split open. He dashed out from his hiding place and into the exact spot she would descend to break her fall.

Yowling in fear, she leapt tightly to the next branch below her, and below, till she was on top of Stonedust as a landing point. "s-sorry." she meowed, seeing how she had squished him. She got up and fluffed her fur out.

Stonedust tensed as he waited for Streamtail to fall on him. He let out an "oomph!" when she squished him. "I'm fine." He told her as she got off of him. "Let's just eat."

She nodded an okay, then began to carefully pick the feathers off. The feathers of a Bluejay! They were a beautiful sight, bright blue. As she finished, she let Stonedust take the first bite.

Stonedust nodded a thank you as he ate the first bite of the bird. It was juicy and tasted great in his mouth. Once they were finished eating, he rose to his paws and asked, "Where should we go?"

Streamtail licked the remains off of her jaws, then stretched up again. "Away from this place. Should we try the valley?" She suggested, then glanced at the valley. It was green and protected.
(I'm going to be active now. I'm playing cattails while on forums!)

(I'm back now!)
"Alright!" He said enthusiastically, a little bounce in his step as he walked there with her. He was excited to build and decorate their den.

But it was a long, long walk. They passed many dens of feral cats, but all empty. The trees grew even thicker, almost no sunshine streaming through the thick leaves. It was a roofed forest. It was cloudy, windy, and early noon as they made their way into the valley. "Here it is, Stonedust!" She mewed, purring with delight. The valley was between two large mountains that stretched to the sky. Between was a very, very large and deep badger tunnel. Streamtail inhaled the scent of the den. Dirt, plants, rock, and extremely stale badger scent. "This was an anbandoned badger's den." The she-cat meowed, flickering her tail. "We could probably clear it all and settle nests in by night-fall."

Stonedust inspected the abandoned badger den with his yellow eyes before saying, "I'll clear it out while you get nesting material?" It was more of a question than a statement, though. He could still smell the badger in it and it made him slightly nervous, even though he knew it was long gone. "That way we could be done quicker."

"Deal." She meowed, then padded off into the wilderness. Streamtail's tail bobbed around as she padded towards a great oak full of moss. She unsheathed her claws and began working into the ground. The moss began to slid off sleekly, smooth and soft. She continued working. As she scraped off her last large wad of moss, she caught sight of a black and white pelt. Squeaking, she backed off. The pelt was breathing! She jabbed it with a paw. "H-hello..?" She creaked, scared of the breathing lump of fur. It squeaked back. "H-Hey!" The sound of a young tom's voice meowed, and out popped a small black-and white head.

Stonedust smiled and watched her leave. He then descended into the tunnel until he reached the little cave where they would reside in. There was tons of debris scattered across the bottom of the miniature cave. He started to pick them up and put them in a little pile. He was so focused on his work he didn't hear the paw steps coming from another entry way.

Streamtail gasped in horror, grabbed her moss, and dashed home. It was a cat spy! She ran to the den and stumbled onto Stonedust. "Stonedust! The trees are cats!" She meowed hoarsely, and turned around. Her fur was spiked, ruffled, and fluffed out. A black and white tom was in the entrance, smiling. "Hello!" He meowed. He was the size of an apprentice.

Stonedust's eyes turned to Streamtail as she came in, the smile on his face quickly fading after seeing her distress. "I'm sure it's no-" The striped tom looked up at hearing a voice. It seemed chipper. His fur was laid flat in contrast to his mate. All he could manage to say at the moment was, "Hi?" He stared at the small tom for awhile before taking a deep breath and continuing, "It seems you have given my mate a fright. What is it you need?"
