So, I want to date Mango in my custom colony save file. They are at 5 stars of friendship with me and I gave them the red rose, but they turned me down. I gave them gifts that they liked for a couple of days before trying again, though they said the same thing. I am not already dating or married to a cat. However, the save was replicated from one where I was married and had kittens. I reset the data on both kittens and spouse. What should I do?

You've likely just messed something up while editing your savefile. Unfortunately we don't make it a policy of providing fixes for manual savefile edits, but you may be able to figure something out if you fiddle with it long enough.

I looked at the save file and I realized the problem was that the "PlayerIsMarried" data was set to yes. I fixed it and now my cat is dating Mango.
