Shadowheart emitted a long sigh as he trailed down the long-reaching moor, his thoughts lingering on the lack of regard his clanmates had for him. Constantly, he was sent on these 'missions' by himself to retrieve some cattails(aha ) or moss or whatever, when his clanmates were sent hunting, patrolling, and the like. He wished he was just given the chance to do something useful.
Following the moors for several minutes, he didn't seem to be aware of just how close he was drawing to the border of the terrority. His mind was elsewhere and his eyes were at his paws as he continued lamenting his position.

A broad, thick-furred black she-cat made her way out of Shadowclan's camp entrance. She went by the name Flamesong. Flamesong was the best fighter in Shadowclan, and is often put up as guard. She was used to this by now, and her loyal heart approved this. Shadowclan's stealth was with her paws. She barley made a sound as she padded towards the border that touched Windclan. They stirred up trouble for a while now, and she was not going to let it happen.
As she reached the border, Flamesong had caught a water vole. It was soaking wet, muddy, and cold. She sat alone on her side of the border, sighing in boredom. She never had brothers nor sisters. The clan barley was family. Just pride and greed. They only ever noticed her because of her eyes, power, strength, and loyalty. Her eyes were a amber tint, but when she used her power, fire, her eyes grow a dark, frightening red. This is what she did now. She closed her eyes and curled her tail neatly over her paws. She inhaled, and angled her ears towards the frog. She lifted her paws and began to form a circle with them, going round and round and fast each time. Then she opened her eyes. They were a fiery, terrible deep red. Her paws sparked and sizzled, and a small fire ball appeared. Here, she gently let it hover over the frog. Finishing, she clapped her paws and her fiery force field collapsed and ruffled her fur. She blinked, and a wisp of smoke arose from the side of her eyes, and her amber eyes returned. Here, she bit into her frog and enjoyed the warmth.
(too much?)

Shadowheart gave a frustrated sigh as he knew that he was running out of space to move forward. If he crossed the border, he could get caught by another clan, or one of his own clanmates could find out about it. Either way, it would be bad news. Why did these borders have to be so strict? Shouldn't peace mean that the clans trust one another?
He made a quarter-turn, beginning to pad down the moor alongside the border. Getting out of his camp was his only reprieve from the kit-worthy treatment and never-ending scorn that he was made to put up with. Why were powers such a critical thing. Why couldn't his clanmates recognize that he could still fight and hunt if they only gave him the chances that he needed to get good at these things. He wanted to succeed at these things, and he wanted to please his clanmates. But they didn't want him to be given any chance whatsoever. It hurt him. Badly.

Flamesong finished the frog in a few quick bites, sadly. The frog sat in her belly was warm, and it filled her surprisingly enough. Now she was bored again. The wind shifted direction and blew towards her. She caught a whiff of Windclan with it! How dare them? It's my duty to investigate. Flamesong thought, and off she went, hopping off her paws and dashing towards the border. Alas, she was trudging through the mud and following the scent. It was fresh, and it was leading along the border. Nothing across. Looks as if Windclan had the common sense not to cross! She smirked, but decided to keep following the scent to make sure of it.

Shadowheart bit his lip as a thought entered his mind, pushing aside all other thoughts that had been there before. He glanced around him, detecting nothing of interest around him.
He gave a quiet sigh. He understood that the clan really did not want him there, and recently he had begun wondering if he should just...disappear. If he got up and left, he didn't think that any of the cats from the clan would come looking for him. Even his parents struggled to stand up for him when he was being picked on.
And his only friend here was too quiet and non-confrontational to do anything for him. She wanted him to be happy and accepted, but she didn't want anyone else to be unhappy either. So she wouldn't speak up. She was a good friend in most respects, but...it hurt him when she just sat there listening.
He stopped moving for a few seconds, turning his head back to glance in the direction of the Windclan camp. Could he get away in a timely manner?
