I say male, mostly because I have a real-life cat named Ember who is male.

Actually, WC:UT Ember's gender was never specified, as far as I'm aware. I could be wrong, though.

I've always thought that Ember was female, Doc was her mate, and Lyrus was their son. Lyrus looks like Doc, but with a more cream-colored stomach, almost the same cream-color as Ember's muzzle.

I think Ember is a boy, based off of the way they look and their name. I could see them as a female too.

In one talk cutscene Ember describes what his (her?) father said to him shortly before he died and the first thing he said was "look, son." so I am guessing that Ember is a male.
