deleted save file

sorry if i put this in the wrong place!!

my friend's save file was randomly deleted. i think she had two and the first slot was just gone but i'm pretty sure the second one was still there. she was on year 4 and was married with kittens so i'd really like to help her get it back!

Can I ask if the game crashed/the power went out/the game was shut down incorrectly for any reason? That can lead to a loss of data.
