I have never really attempted to get very far in mining. I believe I've only ever gotten around twenty staircases before. Anyway, I'm wanting to try and get to one hundred. Any tips? Specific food to bring, specific skills to have learned, ect?

Get at least two rows filled up with prey items other than frogs or mice, and bring a good stock of goldenseal/marigold, bats are a lot more frequent in the lower levels! For skills, it is useful to level up fighting to defeat bats, hunting to get enough prey, and foraging to make the healing herbs more effective. Also, you probably noticed the filled in holes next to the boss mole of the mine you're in. If you make it to level 25 of that mine you can buy a quick travel hole to let you get to that level immediately. It also has a shop on that level. There is other ones like it on levels 50 and 75. I hope that was helpful ^.^

Run around bats whenever you can. Don't bring your kits because they'll engage with the bats everytime which is annoying. You wanna try to avoid them to keep your health up. Less goldenseal = more room for food.

It’d be a good idea to equip the skill Deep Cuts and return home. Deep Cuts not only injured the enemies, but can also break rocks without lowering your hunger. Return home can allow you more time in the mines if you’re afraid of running out of hunger or health on the journey home.
I don’t recommend taking kittens with you as they tank enemies without strategies and ‘die’ really quick, if you take them, don’t waste your herbs on them, but take the Heal Allies skill.
I’ve observed that apart from the URs, Basses and Rabbits fill your hunger up the most. Rabbits are easier to catch and if you’re in the highlands, should find plenty.
You can also try to hit the bats and run, remember to keep distance.
I personally bring more herbs than prey as running out of food isn’t too big of an issue but if you loose health you die directly, sure, you get speed penalty, but a Valerian should do the job of getting away from bats or out of pools.

Whoo! Finally got around to going mining. Managed to get to 100 on the Canyon Creek mine! Thanks for all the great advice. Only made enough to buy the quick access to level 50, but heading back soon to get the 75 quick access.

I made it to the 100th level of the mine using the following skills: Deep Cuts Summon Allies Warp Home Heal Allies
I brought my kitten as well, but as soon as she hit level 10, she had to retreat to a horde of bats. I usually summon allies to keep the bats busy while I continue searching for the path down. Only downside to this is the massive recharge time :/

I just got to 100 in the Prairie Mine as well. The only skills I used were dash once and return home after I finished. I had other skills with me, but never needed to use them. I brought about two inventory rows of Goldenseal/Marigold for both mining trips. The rest of my inventory, about another two to three rows, were full of doves and rabbits. I did catch a few mice from the rocks now and then, and bought a couple at the checkpoint things for just in case. I never seemed to need more healing herbs than what I brought with me. Both times I made it all the way to level 100 without leaving and returning through the quick access points. I shuffled between killing the bats and just kiting them around. Really depended on how quickly I found the stairs. I also went through the stairs right when I found them. I didn't stick around and mine for gems and such.
I went without bringing any of my kittens. I also typically healed only when I was a few health points down. I'd say between fifteen and thirty. Probably would have been better to wait for when I was low, but hey, worked out in the end. Plus it made room for what gems I did find. Although this isn't something I did the whole time, I found it much easier to kite the bats when you had 125% or 150% food. You get the movement bonus.

if you want to start mining with your own pc or laptop: dont lose your time For start mining you need correct hardware, maybe you can buy a asicminer or antminer (you find it on google), or assemble a pc with correct hardware for mining, and i think for get a real profit you need to invest min. 1000$

To me, Deep Cut, Wild Slash, and Return Home are the skills I use all the time. I usually level up my hunting to at least 7. I bring a whole bunch of rabbits/hares. I bring a bunch of Marigolds. I usually leaves about 3 rows (I have 7 rows) for gems.

I recommend getting at least 3 stacks of marigold and goldenseal, along with 2 stacks of prey. The rest of the empty space will be used for getting ore. Rabbits and Basses give the most hunger refill in terms of other prey. Skills however, I recommend Deep Cuts, Warp: Home, Summon Allies, and Sprint. For me, if I encounter a horde of bats, I use either Summon Allies or Sprint to ease away from them. (It's also best to upgrade Sprint to Sprint V as the time cooldown is 23 seconds.) Also, when reaching the checkpoints, make sure to buy them with those Mole coins. Hope this helps! ~~~~~~~~~~~~DragonCave Egg~~~~~~~~~~
