Hello!
My mate is Robin and I have four kittens, which were just born this morning.
I want to focus on mining for a little bit, which means I have to sacrifice the daily three gifts to Robin and the future gifts to my kits.
Will my mate's relationship with me decrease if I go too long without giving her gifts?
And will I lose the opportunity to become friends with my kits if I go too long without giving them gifts?

I do believe time is paused when you are in the mines, so no relationship decreases should happen!

Time isn’t paused in the mines, but I think it’s slower. You don’t need to give gifts daily to keep the relationship stars, you can just talk to the cat. Although I think the cat won’t give you gifts that frequently anymore.

I find that you can down the canyon and prairie mines in a single day if you stock up your inventory. As for stars, legit nothing changes whilst your down there. I find that giving three gifts whenever you can increases stars at a steady pace.
