Just asking, what are the best places to find ultra rares from your experience? I heard Weepingroot is good for finding ultra-rares, I might try there soon. I personally have found a LOT of bluejays in the Orchard. I am looking for a black firefly, northern emerald and a lunar butterfly.
EDIT: I also found my first Catfish in the hollowed garden. Btw I might add a picture of my rare and ultra rare pile of stuff (yes I hoard rare and ultra rare items to put in my den lol).

I have found ALOT of turtles/bluejays in the orchard and fairywood. Once I found a black firefly in the mystic camp. I also find a lot of cardinals in the orchard. I am looking for a blue ladybug.

You can endlessly respawn any insects by lapping around the temple during a festival and killing every bug you see, it's bound to spawn you an ultra rare eventually. Time doesn't pass and hunger doesn't decrease during festivals, so it's pretty useful.

EDIT: I got a Tropical btrfy now.

If you simply need the cardinal, I think the easiest way would be to befriend Savannah (if you happen to live in the Mystic Colony). In my Mystic Colony save flie, Savannah gives me cardinals fairly often if I remeber correctly (I haven't played Cattails in a few months). They can also be bought during the Winter Festival.
If you need to hunt a cardinal, then try near the "Rumbling Stones" areas, and the tiles directly adjacent to The Orchard. Though I cannot personally vouch for these locations, they are on the Cattails Fandom Wiki, and I would assume the Fandom Wiki would have more sources. According to the Fandom wiki, Cardinals have a spawn rate of 1% on all tiles except the Orchard, where their spawn rate is slightly increased. Speaking of the Fandom Wiki, there is a map on the wiki that shows which tiles are considered the best for Cardinal Hunting. I'll try to intsert the map into this reply, but I am unsure how well it will go. (Edit: It didn't go well. Map wouldn't load.)
The Forest Colony's territory in general would be a good place to look. I think on my Forest Colony save file I managed to catch a Cardinal, but that was a good few years ago, so I cannot remeber where or when, but it probably was on Forest Colony territory.
I hope this helps!
