Glitch / Kits got younger

I had a litter of 4 kits with Robin, then I 'divorced' Robin. I married Pebble and had 2 kits with him. Once I went to the nursery the "new kits" were non existent and two of the kits from the original litter became newborns. 


EDIT: After restarting the game the 2 new kits are where they are supposed to be, but 2 kits of the original litter are gone. The other 2 kits from the original litter that didn't glitch out changed their pelt color to gray.

Yes this is normal as you cannot have more than one litter.
