If your cat is married, other cats will reject a red rose from them. But if you give the spouse a black rose to break up with them, then you should be able to romance different cats.

Or you could just cheat and be married to everyone or be romanced with everyone and married with one

You can date multiple cats but marriage is a one cat thing. So you can be in a polyamorous relationship but without marriage.
