Cattails Tutorial Videos: Official Thread In October, I posted a thread in the Creative Corner about making tutorial videos for Cattails. Today, I am happy to say welcome to the official Cattails Tutorial Videos thread! This is where all the videos will be posted. The tutorials will provide step-by-step instructions, as well as a walkthrough, of how to do something in Cattails. I will be updating this thread every time I put out new uploads. If you have any requests of what you would like to see made into a tutorial, please post those here! Comments about any of the tutorials are also encouraged. Updated with a new video! The fighting tutorial is up. Make sure to watch all the way until the end. There is a battle featured in there that I probably never should have won, haha.
Also, I didn't show the active skills in this video because there will be a separate video specifically for all the active skills.

Just wanted to say that a new video will be coming soon. I haven't started anything new yet because of the holidays, but I hope to get something uploaded shortly after the new year. It is winter in both of my main save files in the game right now, which is a really big problem because the next video will cover swimming. Since all the water is frozen (except for at the beach), looks like I will have to spend some time getting both of those files to spring before I do anything, haha.

Updated! This video is more like a guide than a tutorial, so I called it "Foraging Guide" instead of "Foraging Tutorial". It is a little bit longer than the other three, but I tried not to make it any longer than it needed to be. I showed some locations where all the foraging plants can be found. While I didn't list every single area, I showed at least one area closest to all three of the camps for each plant.
Since this video is uploaded now, that means I've uploaded tutorials/guides about all four passive skills. I guess, active skills are next? I'll need to figure out where I want to go with this after that. I want to try to get at least one more video uploaded before classes start up, which will be on Tuesday.

Just added in the Active Skills guide. That means that I've done videos about all the skills now, passive and active! I don't really know where to go from here... There are still plenty of options. Power Paws, Restore the Balance, Dating/Marrying/Having Kittens, Changing Colonies, Mining, etc. Honestly, when it comes to doing the Restore the Balance, I might do that one in parts. Haven't really decided for sure yet. I was going to use this picture as the thumbnail, but it wasn't going to work like I had in mind. So, I'll just post it here:  |

I am trying to get the Romance video up before tomorrow is over with, since tomorrow is Valentine's Day. No clue if it's going to work out, though because this means I somehow have to befriend, date, marry, and get kittens with a cat overnight. I'm going to try, though.

~12 hours later~ I still have to edit this video together, but I did it. I went from 2 stars all the way to having kittens with a cat in one night. I also made it to 200 hours of gameplay tonight, and I hit quite a jackpot really. I managed to catch four bluejays, four cardinals, a catfish, and a black firefly. The last two I've never caught before until tonight's play.   |

I only have just over an hour and a half to spare before it's the 15th, but the video is up! The guide covers everything a player would need to know about befriending, dating, marrying, and having kittens in the game. I really thought it was going to be impossible to do all this in time, but I made it. It required playing Cattails for 12 hours straight, but I say it was 100% worth it.
I probably could have gotten it up earlier, if I didn't go to sleep for a few hours after I finished recording it all. I'd been up all night after barely getting sleep the night before last too, so I was just exhausted. It was just after 10am when I went to sleep.
As for a future video, I'm wondering if it's worth doing a video about raising/training kittens?
