If you're in need of gems, you should really go to the island mine! I literally found a diamond on the first level xD
To get there I recommend a high swimming level since you are most likely gonna take damage from getting there
You need to go to any of the beach areas and swim beyond the shore until you reach the island area. (It is not shown on the map ;-
I actually found this mine on my own with one of my kits. Hunter.
The second time I came was with my other kit, Little. I found a chest on the first level and, voila! A diamond!
