I think that might be a bit excessive. I agree that predators should only be in hard mode. Maybe one predator per colony? Snakes for Mystic, Foxes for Mountain, Badgers for Forest. Maybe in Spring the predators would have babies you had to avoid in order to not be attacked, otherwise, they would leave you alone. Or in Fall they would be replaced with ghosts of cats you had fought in battle. In winter they would guard the food and in summer they would be normal.
