This keeps bugging me. I know the reason the player gets dumped in the middle of nowhere is for punishment to the girl, but...so far as I can tell, nothing severely horrible happened? So what did the girl do to have her kitten taken away like that? There probably is no real answer, but that is kind of what bugs me, haha. So far as I know, it's just because the mother is a very irresponsible pet owner...

It's intentionally vague so that it's open to interpretation. That being said, it's not necessarily something the girl did or even a "punishment"; could be that the mom just really doesn't want a cat around

When they drove home from the pet store, the mom had a rather...unhappy look on her face. |
