I'm tired of pouncing and hunting animals and selling them, is there a better alternative?

Collecting catnip? Going to mines and collecting ore? Collecting seashells at the beach? There's a whole lot of things to collect and sell, so try whatever you think is profitable and fun.

Ores don't sell well, I've noticed. Catnip, Conch shells, and turtle shells seem to fetch decent prices, and I usually sell all the valerian and lavender I find as well. (I don't normally use them, anyway lol)

I tend to search for as much catnip as I can find, all over the map. I also grow it. 15 mews per plant is nothing to sneeze at!

Also, sell all the prey, valerian and most herbs you find each day

Snake lilies sell for five mews each, and they're pretty common. That's what I sell a lot of when I need mews.

If you live in the Forest colony, that's great, because if you get 5 stars w/ Ember, she can give you cardinals. Valerians and doves sell really well-- Here's a tip: Go hunting for a few days straight, and make a stockpile of the most common things that sell for about 3 mews; Then after you have about 2 or 3 inventory's worth of prey, go on day-long expeditions, or until your inventory is full, and then go back to Ember and sell off everything at once. I know, it's a lot of hunting, but it's super worth it. If you go to the right spots, you can make around 70-100 mews per day.

I just go on a herb spree every 1st and 6th day of the season Since Catnip grows back every five days, I literally go the same way every single time and get about 6-8 catnip during those days (that like 12-16 pieces of catnip per season). And a stockpile of marigold, goldenseal, lavender, and valerian.

If you live in the Forest colony, that's great, because if you get 5 stars w/ Ember, she can give you cardinals. If you go to Forest Colonies camp, Sarge will stop you at the entrance, but once you have 25% of reputation or higher with them by giving gifts to the Forest Colony (Not Sarge) you can talk and increase your relationships with all of the cats in the Forest Colony. The same goes for the Mystic Colony, so you don't have to live in the Forest Colony/Mystic Colony/Mountain Domain to increase relationships and get good gifts. Sorry if you already knew this, I just wanted to let you know :D

I think that most cats, if you have a high enough relationship, can give you really good items. Authur (from the Mountain Colony) has given me two bluejays in two (in-game) days. Also, stockpiling doves is a good idea - they go for 5 mews each, and aren't hard to find. The tile above the temple has an abundance of them. Also collecting herbs is never a bad idea. Battles can also help a little, for mews and skill too. Also using up festival tokens to get the rarer items and using them in shops can aid in the gathering of mews. I guess it depends on the person, the save, and the skill on what works, but yeah.
