I've been giving Alisa gifts but her heart hasn't turned from black yet. I'm in the mountain colony right now and I also have Arthur at a red heart. Does that have something to do with it?

You don't have to be in the same colony, so Arthur may have something to do with it.

Alisa's heart won't turn from black unless you have given her a red rose.

I realized that right after I gave Arthur the black rose. Do you know if it's possible to have 2 cats at a red heart? I should have tested that out.

Yeah, it's possible to date more than one cat at once. You could date all 9 dateable cats at once if you wanted. Just remember that if you marry one of them, the others you were in a relationship won't be very happy with you.
