Where are the best places to find rare items.
Also, I'm really struggling to get mews. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get more? (Im trying to save up for a shiny trinket but its taking ages!)

What I did at the beginning was eating only berries and frogs, as those have the lowest resell value, then selling everything else. I'd say put all your points in hunting so it's easy to catch lots of prey. Then a small thing when I didn't have enough inventory space was to pluck every herb then just drop it in the same area so the plant would grow back quicker so I could pick it again then sell. I avoided most fighting because I didn't like getting hurt then spending everything on doctor's bills or using my items, I would just keep sleeping until I was fully restored. Then if you're into it, you can play on very easy.

If you're looking for some quick mews, and are willing to wait a bit, there's a catnip spot I always go to. It's one tile north of the Western Field. Catnip sells for 15 mews, and it is easy to find if you look in the right places while you're exploring. There's also another spot at Delta.

For the Black Firefly, I once saw it at the Mountain Domain camp. I caught a blue ladybug next to my den in forest Colony. And the bluejay, Ive seen it at the river span

Btw what I do to get money is go to the Fairywood. it has pretty much only doves, turtles, and frogs. I eat the frogs when i get hungry and sell the doves and turtles. It didnt take me that long to get the expensive stuff like the den upgrades and the shiny trinket

It took me a while but I find the mines a great place for mews. I saved up my mole coins to get down to the 75th floor instantly and then just mine away. I make sure to bring prey and goldenseal/marigold as the bats can be annoying and hunger goes down pretty quick down there. But after a while I can get quite a few mews selling the gems in the shop, not to the mole! Inventory expansions also help a lot for this!
