You have to give the colony guards gifts and gain reputation with them. At 25%, they'll let you in. At 50%, they'll allow you to use their services. At 75%, they'll let you join their colony but won't force you.

how do you befriend the other clans? Go to the colony you wish to befriend. When you try to enter the camp, the colony's guard will stop you (Jag/Mountain Domain, Sarge/Forest Colony, and Oracle/Mystic Colony) and tell you that you are not trusted enough to allow you admittance. Give the colony's guard a gift to the colony; gifts have different values that they raise the colony's reputation by different levels. (Refer to this thread for details, it's the 4th post.) Eventually, you'll reach 25% which will allow you to walk around the camp and interact with the colony's cats. 50% will allow you to use the shop and doctor; 75% will allow you to leave your old colony and join them. |

ok neat what happens to your old colony if you choose a different one though? will you have to work to get back in? or would it just reset all your friendship points with them?

It would reset your old colony's reputation to zero meaning it would be like you were never a part of the colony. I do believe you keep your friendships but I've not left my colony so someone else would have to verify that. |

I do believe you keep your friendships but I've not left my colony so someone else would have to verify that. Yes that is correct, if you switch colonies your reputation with your old colony will drop down to 0% and your reputation with the new colony will increase to 100%. Even if you do transfer colonies all your friendships will remain the same, however you will still be able to give gifts to cats who wonder right outside the camp during the daytime. For example, Scout will left Forest Colony Camp around 11 am and go hunt in Forest West until 4pm, and Savannah will leave Mystic Camp and head over to Sunken Stones which is North of the camp around 3 pm and will come back to her shop around 4pm. I'm not sure any of the Mountain Colony cats leave their camp in the middle of the day but hopefully this helped anyone who has/had any ?s about switching colonies  . |

Upgrade your swimming skill a bunch first. Then, travel to Beach Central. You'll have to swim from there to get to the mine

I usually find black hares in the Mountain Domain areas. More specifically, try Northern Plains (it's directly next to their camp) and the areas surrounding that. I've also found black hares in the area that has the Canyon mine.
