So I've heard about people messing with their save files on other games, and I was wondering if there was any way to go into the file to change a kitten's name? I've found the spot in the text labeled 'Kitten[Number]Name' but the letters after that look like gibberish. I'm just curious if there is a way to delete, reset, or change kits from within the file as I lose interest quickly after I get the kits to the adult stage. Hmmm, I'm not entirely if you can change a kit's name. Probably not though, but then again I could be wrong.

I completed the quest for the 4th time a couple nights ago. For the first 3 times, I didn't even try to catch the blue ladybug. I usually just bought it. The last time I actually did try for the entire season of spring. I saw on the Wiki page that someone found one at the Riverspan and another person found one at Sunken Stones. Every day of the season, unless it rained, I alternates between those two locations. I kept killing all the ladybugs that spawned so new ones would generate. Still didn't find one after all that, and I think it only rained once. So, 9 days of searching for it (counting the festival day) and still no luck. The four times I’ve caught them, it’s been near the Mountain Domain. Two of those times were on the tile to the left of the camp, North Plains. Usually on the 3rd.

You can, I've done it before. In the files under the "Kitten" section, I've changed their names, eye colors, age, friendship, exp, and pattern. If you put "MA==" in all the areas for a kitten, I'm pretty sure they will disappear. Pretty much the only thing you couldn't do is change their parent pelts. If you're looking to change your kitten's name without having to crack the code and such, here's how. Go to where your files are, and copy the one you want to rename a kitten on (This is very important- if you don't do this, you may have wasted a bunch of time and a bit of mews!). Then, play on that file. When it's the 3rd day of any season, (I suggest sleeping a bunch until it's the 3rd) Elli will appear. Change your name to whatever you want the kitten's name to be, save, and exit. Open the save file you just played on, scroll all the way to the bottom, and copy the code under "PlayerName=". Then, open up the original file you copied earlier. Scroll down to where "Kitten#Name=" is, and paste the code you copied into the appropriate slot. Save and exit the file. Delete the file that you copied the name from, and rename the one you just edited to the original file name. Finally, play on the file. If you did it right, your kitten should have their new name! If anything about this is confusing, I can clarify. Hope this helped!

The gibberish text is encoded, i think it is so u cant just modify ur save file so easy. But i already found how to decode it, its encoded in... Base64! To code/decode i reccomend using this website: www.base64decode.orgIMPORTANT:Dont modify ur save file unless u really know what are u doing, u can corrupt ur save file!

Would your friendship stars with someone deplete over a period of time? As in, if I don't talk with a cat I have 5 stars with over many in-game seasons, will it become 4 stars? If so, how long does it take to drop down a star?

If you don't talk to someone for a while, then your friendship with them will decrease. It takes a while to lose stars with them.
I could be wrong about this, but I think it will go down quicker if you're not in the same colony as them.
