apologies if this has already been answered before! i've looked at the official cattails page and the steam page as well as skimmed through threads here, and i cannot find answers to the questions i have. sorry if i just missed it somehow, haha
1. what was cattails developed with? unity 2D? game maker studio? 2. i read that cattails is not in the process of being moddable, but is that even a possibility in the far future? 3. will any sort of source code be released upon the full release of the game or later that people can attempt to mod with, even if it is difficult?
the reason i ask is because i want to get into game development. coding has always interested me, and i'm really passionate about this game and it's origins, and i'd love to try creating a mod or two for it for both the learning experience and for love and fun of the game. i am also passionate about 2D games which makes me more excited!
even if there is no way that the code will ever be released or any sort of moddable code, i will still definitely support cattails! i've been here since it's long lost roots in warrior cats untold tales since i was seven years old, and falcon is one of the biggest reasons i became interested in coding in the first place at the age of 7. it means a lot to me to see the developers get older and turn a passion project into a successful and quality game.
thank you so much in advance! this means a lot to me

Cattails is made with GameMaker: Studio 1.4As for modding, here is a quote from last month regarding game mods for Cattails: Possible, but takes a lot of time to get setup. For the immediate future, we have no plans to introduce modding to Cattails due to the amount of work required to get it up and running, but I suppose it's possible in the distant future! No promises ;)

1. what was cattails developed with? unity 2D? game maker studio? Looking at the game files, it seems like it was probably developed with Game Maker. I was kinda bummed to find this out because there's not really any tools for modding Game Maker games, unlike Unity. the reason i ask is because i want to get into game development. coding has always interested me, and i'm really passionate about this game and it's origins, and i'd love to try creating a mod or two for it for both the learning experience and for love and fun of the game. i am also passionate about 2D games which makes me more excited! Honestly, modding usually involves assets way more than code (depending on how a game is set up, a lot can be done by modifying config files, which isn't the same as coding.) If you want to get into game design, just making games helps way more than modding. I'd recommend RPG Maker since you can familiar with the "logic" behind games without having to learn a programming language first.
