I been looking for a Catfish for a really long time and I still can't find it, I looked in the River span and the Rumbling stone East and no luck. It's the last thing I need to finish to get the Forest guardian. I'm in the season fall rn I couldent get the catfish at the festival because I didn't have enough. Please help I don't know what else to do.

I'm unsure if it's true as i didn't catch it, but I'm fairly confident that you can find them at Sunken Stones as well. It was a bass-like fish that was silver-gray, but too light to be a trout. Could just be some weird lighting, but I'm pretty sure it was a catfish.

The only time I found a catfish without buying it at a festival was at the Sunken Stones. It was before there were festivals and so I just sold it for mews. I also just got the forest guardian back for some reason I thought it would be a anthropomorphic tree.

I found at least 10 catfish per session besides in winter, and it isn’t that hard. Here is the trick that I use:
As most of you should know, if you leave a territory space and then you go back into it, all the prey would have despawned and new ones appeared. So what I did was I went to a big lake area (There is one in each colonies general area) and when there was a red dot in the water on the mini-map, then I knew it was a fish. If it WAS a fish but not a cattail, I would either catch it, scare it away, or just leave that territory and go back. If there was no red dot in the water on the mini-map, then it WASNT a fish, and I would just leave the territory and go back without walking all the way to it.
From what I have seen, this is the most efficient way possible. I have gotten over 30 catfish in just 1 season (summer) with this trick.
Also, if you do not have red dot on the mini-map that locates prey, then you probably don’t have a high enough hunting level.

'Should' really help me, you said. You should test it and see how well it does. I may just be a very lucky person.
