I am curious to see if all kittens have set personalities or if there are several personalities kittens could end up with, similar to coat colors I guess.
For example, I have three kittens and each of them have their own personalities, which I think is great! Lyric is quiet and doesn’t talk a lot, Cake is always talking about adventure and how excited they are to outside with me, and Blueberry is kind of in between. They aren’t as energetic and excited as Cake, but they aren’t as quiet and introverted as Blueberry!
I also enjoy figuring out what each of my kittens like and dislike when it comes to items! It’s not like the NPCs that have guides on here, I have to go through a process and figure out the dialogue and what items my kits love, like and dislike! It’s fun!

To give some insight, there are exactly 4 personalities and any player can have up to 4 kittens. Each kitten in each savefile is guaranteed to have a different personality than its siblings. If you have, say, 2 kittens, then they are both given a random personality from the pool of 4 (but are guaranteed not to get the same one.)

I got four kittens on my main file with Scout.
1st born - Ranger
He's the adventurer. Whenever I talk to him he wants to wrestle or leave the den and go someplace, and when I do take him out he's quick to spot enemy cats and go straight to fighting. Out of my experience he's the best hunter too, and doesn't miss very much and hit lv10 the fastest. He likes rabbits like his mama, and most other prey. He doesn't give many gifts.
2nd born - Trip
He's the quiet one. He always talks about enjoying sneaking, hiding in dark places, and being on his own. He was average on hunting and fighting. I spent a lot of time with him just patrolling the territory. He gained lots of experience in gathering herbs. He likes crows and doves.
3rd born - Steel
She's the artist. It makes me wonder if Scout cheated on me with Lyrus at one point... She likes to tell me about the poems she composes and art projects she's creating. Sometimes she asks for certain items and I've noticed once I've given her those her experience bar increases. She was like Ranger in noticing enemy cats and fighting them, but I liked taking her herb gathering instead for experience, plus sight-seeing. She likes valerian. She gives the most gifts. I got a diamond once.
youngest - Ferris
Not sure how to describe my youngest. But she likes being around other cats and making friends. She took the longest getting to lv10 and one time I was getting annoyed over how many times she was missing her catch so I sent her home. Then when I got back to the den and talked to her she said, 'Are you proud of me?' and gave me a gift. :^( That was the first gift I got from my kittens. I felt pretty bad. She's also the one that looks like me the most and named similar to me. Ferrous meaning: containing or consisting of iron but spelled differently. But I was patient and she hit level 10, all my kittens are. She likes berries and licorice root, but doesn't like goldenseal.

I have 3 kits. I play on one save file in the Forest Colony. Sky, the firstborn, is really good at hunting. They're the artist, and it's adorable. Snowcap, the middleborn, is the 'troublemaker' I say this because almost every morning they say "What trouble can we get into today?". I know they like banded darters because they said "How far did you have to go to get this?", and I have no idea what else they like. My youngest. Ice is quiet and likes the dark, like castiron's kit. They're ok at hunting, and I haven't tried fighting with Ice yet, but I know that Ice loves Scallop shells. I have tried fighting with Sky, and Sky only lost a few hp. The other two I haven't tried yet, |

I make sure to keep at least one of each of their favorite items near their nests, but I haven't got to the point where I can see who likes which rare items (except for topaz. I also haven't checked catnip yet.) None of them seem to like the same things, as far as I can tell. Autumn's the adventurous one, and the eldest of the four kits. She loves painted, azure, and emperor butterflies, topaz, marigold, goldenseal, rabbits, and black hares. She says stuff about adventuring and exploring, and is really upbeat. Dusk is the second born, and she's the artistic one. Out of all the things I've tried so far, she only loves 4 things: salmon, trout, bass, and Valerian. I plan on trying to give her a catfish (which I do have 2 of...) Sunset is third born. He's serious, careful, sneaky, and possibly a bit socially awkward. He loves scallops, snake lily, crows, and doves. The most recent thing he's said to me is "... The trees look healthy. That's good. More leaves means more cover." Mouse is the youngest. She's very sweet, shy, and quiet. Funnily enough, she loves the mouse and field mouse! I thought that was so funny! She also loves raspberries, blackberries, and licorice. She's not overly fond of winter blueberries, though, which is something I thought she'd enjoy. Here's all of my kittens (who are actually now fully grown!)     |

I've had three kittens with Arthur.
The first born was Winnie, the one who looked more like her dad. Winnie seems playful enough. She seems really fond of mice, and even fonder of Bluejays (and I'm assuming Cardinals.) Just like her mama, she's pretty strong. However, she loses HP kinda fast...
The second born was Cavern. Cavern strangely seemed to like sneaking a lot, and that's weird, since I hadn't even started to raise my reputation with the Forest Colony enough to let me go in and talk to Scout.
The third born was Heiss, the one who looked the most like me. She apparently really liked singing. She wanted me to sing with her about butterflies, so I decided that she'd love a beautiful azure butterfly. Heiss didn't really care for it, which surprised me a little.
