If you go a while without giving the characters gifts, does the amount of stars decrease? Even if you have all 5 stars on all the characters?

I don't think so, I got 5 stars on Doc maybe two years ago (in Cattails) and I've been talking to him everyday and he still has 5 stars. (and I haven't given him a single gift) |

I asked Falcon about that a while back. He said that if you don't at least talk to them every once in a while, you will lose stars. It takes a while for that, though. You really have to be avoiding them to make that happen.

By any chance do you know how long "once in a while" is lol. ive went 3 days without talking to anyone in the forest colony and everyone there lost a star so I kinda have to go out of my way every other day to make sure their friendships don't decrease on me. Even went to the length of setting the mine warps for my active skills to make getting to the other colonies faster and easier. It would take me an entire day alone to just talk to everyone and sometimes I wouldn't even make it to the second colony in time to talk to them before they went in to sleep. So yeah every other day i'd have to dedicate an entire day to only visiting the colonies, even stopping to hunt and gather herbs/berries wasted too much time for me. either that or I'm slow lol. ;w; Admittedly to me it got draining so I haven't been playing as much as i'd like to.

Are you a member of the Forest colony, or are you a resident of another colony? It might make a difference.

That makes sense to why it would go down in 3 days then. Don't mark my words, though. I just feel like I've gone longer than that without talking to anyone before. I was in the same colony as them.

probably lol. I have a huge ocd problem and if I see anyone below 5 stars I freak out and then harass them with gifts until they like me again.

Does friendship lower only to two stars if not more interacting with that cat?
Now someone on discord sayed, that only bad gifts make it sink below 2 stars. For me it's fully ok, that the cats, where i don't need something special from, stay at 2 stars. They just react neutral on me, but not hate me.
